With your explicit permission, Active Minutes accesses health data from Apple HealthKit, including:

• Active energy burned (workout and movement calories)
• Basal energy burned (resting metabolic rate)
• Workout data (type, duration, associated metrics)
• Flights climbed
• Body mass (for calorie calculations)
• Date of birth (for age-based calorie formulas)

Important: HealthKit data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. We use this data solely to display your fitness metrics within the app.

2.2 Local App Data

Your settings and preferences (such as heart rate zone thresholds) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. If you use the Apple Watch companion app, data is shared between your iPhone and Watch using a secure App Group (group.com.finpoint.Active Minutes).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Display your fitness and health metrics within the app
• Calculate active minutes based on heart rate zones
• Estimate calories and fat burned using scientific formulas
• Provide Apple Watch complications and widgets
• Show daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly progress summaries

4. Data Storage and Security

All health and fitness data accessed through HealthKit remains stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your HealthKit data on external servers.

Your data is protected by iOS's built-in security features, including device encryption and secure enclave technology.

5. Third-Party Services

Active Minutes does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, or advertising networks. We do not share your personal or health data with any third parties.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Active Minutes
• Delete the app and all locally stored data
• Request information about data handling practices

7. Children's Privacy

Active Minutes is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
